Property management for peace of mind
Of course you may prefer to manage your property yourself, but some tenants actually insist on renting managed properties.
Choosing Changing Home to manage your property gives you peace of mind as we’ll keep an eye on things 24/7. We’ll look after the general day to day management as well as more complex issues such as emergency repairs, collection of rent, transfer of utilities and emergency maintenance.
Presenting your property to potential tenants
First impressions count so it’s important your property is at its best. Consider addressing any DIY jobs you’ve been meaning to get done, and maybe a fresh coat of paint here and there.
Changing Home will then photograph your property before preparing a comprehensive marketing programme.
Marketing your property
We’ll then promote your property across various mediums including coverage on our website and social media, using national search engines such as Rightmove and OnTheMarket. We'll also mail details to potential tenants, call key candidates and place a distinctive 'to let' board at the property.
Accompanied viewings
Unless you ask otherwise, Changing Home will accompany potential tenants viewing your property, answering any questions and highlighting key points.
Receiving an offer
Once we receive an offer from a potential tenant, we’ll give you full details including any special conditions requested. You can then decide if suitable.
Offer agreed
Once you accept an offer, regardless of whether or not Changing Home is managing the property, we’ll:
- Obtain comprehensive references from the tenants (from an independent referencing organisation)
- Arrange signing of the Tenancy Agreement and associated documentation
- Collect the first month’s rent and registration of deposit
- Subject to a fee, get your property ready for move-in.
Changing Home can hold the deposit and register it with the deposit protection scheme. This’ll mean a faster and more efficient deposit release process at the end of the tenancy.
Completion
Upon completion, paperwork will be signed and keys released to the tenant on moving-in day. For managed properties, we’ll provide the tenant with contact details for our dedicated management service to commence.

Changing home letting options and costs
- Full management service
£395 plus 10% monthly of the rental charge.
- Letting only service
60% of the first month's rent (subject to a minimum of £500).
Costs inclusive of vat.
We recognise that you may prefer Changing Home to look after all aspects of your property management, or just part of it.
